What to expect
Export a Canva design as PNG or JPG, then upload the flat image to Png2Psd to infer separate raster layers and export PSD. This workflow does not open Canva project links or transfer the original template. Live text, vector elements, animations and the design's editing history are not recovered.
From an exported Canva image to a PSD
Download a supported image from Canva before starting. PDF, SVG, presentation files, video and private Canva URLs cannot be uploaded to this separation tool. An image export may be useful for raster compositing, but the original design remains the better source when it is available.
Editable raster layers are not an editable Canva template
Separating a heading or badge isolates its visible pixels. It does not restore the original font object, template controls or vector geometry. For localization, rebuild typography with fonts you have permission to use and compare spacing with the original.
Licensing still applies after conversion
Converting a design does not grant rights to its photos, graphics, fonts or brand elements. Check the rights attached to the original design and assets, especially before redistributing extracted elements. AI-generated detail and masked edges also require visual review.
Practical tips
- Keep the original Canva design and its licensed assets
- Use the highest-quality supported still-image export available to you
- Describe the subject, decorative shapes and background you want separately
- Check lettering and rebuild editable text for translations or price changes
How it works
- 1Export an authorized Canva design as PNG or JPG
- 2Upload the image and describe the visual elements to separate
- 3Review masks, typography and background reconstruction
- 4Download the layered PSD and finish the raster composition
Frequently asked questions
Can I convert a Canva design to a layered PSD?
You can process its supported flat image export to create new raster layers. This does not transfer the original Canva template, fonts, vectors or editing controls.
Will my Canva text remain editable text in Photoshop?
No. Text in the image is raster content. You may need to retype and format it in Photoshop or another editor to change wording or fonts.
Can I upload a Canva link or PDF directly?
No. Export a JPG, PNG or WebP still image first. Png2Psd does not connect to Canva accounts or import project links or PDFs.
