What to expect
Prompt Cutout lets you upload an image, describe the part you want to keep and download the returned PNG. It is useful when you need one selected object rather than a complete PSD layer stack. Each successful extraction costs 10 credits; transparency depends on the returned result and must be checked.
Choose a single cutout or a complete layer stack
Choose Prompt Cutout for one object or selected region. Choose layer separation when you need several editable objects and a PSD export. A cutout task returns a PNG image, not a layered PSD.
Write a useful extraction prompt
Describe the subject clearly, including distinguishing colors or its position when similar objects are present. State important parts to keep, such as a handle or attached accessory. Requests are limited to 500 characters and should describe content you are authorized to process.
Verify transparency before using the PNG
PNG is a file format, not a guarantee of a transparent background. If the provider returns an opaque image, the interface warns you. Check edges and the full object silhouette; AI may alter details, and the result can require cleanup.
Keep one object versus erase an unwanted object
A request such as keep only the orange asks Prompt Cutout to return that selected object as a PNG. It does not erase the orange from the source and fill the space behind it. If you need several foreground elements for recomposition, use layer separation and inspect the base image too. Removing a person, rebuilding a clean background or generating background variations requires a suitable retouching workflow beyond this cutout tool.
Practical tips
- Name a visible object, its color and its position in the image
- Use a focused request such as: keep only the teal ceramic mug, including its handle
- Compare the source and result for missing parts and altered detail
- A successful extraction uses 10 credits; failed tasks do not consume credits
How it works
- 1Open Prompt Cutout and choose a supported image
- 2Describe the object to keep
- 3Run the extraction after signing in with sufficient credits
- 4Compare the original and result, then download the PNG
Frequently asked questions
How do I extract a specific object using a prompt?
Upload the image in Prompt Cutout and describe the visible object you want to keep. After processing, compare the result with the source and download the PNG.
How many credits does a prompt cutout cost?
Each successful extraction costs 10 credits, regardless of input resolution. Failed tasks do not consume credits. Available signup credits can be used after registration.
Does every result have a transparent background?
No. AI can return an image with an opaque background. The interface warns about this result; inspect the PNG and refine it if needed.
Can Prompt Cutout remove a person and fill the background?
No. Prompt Cutout extracts the visible object you describe and returns a PNG. It does not perform object erasing or generative background filling. Layer separation also needs inspection of the base; moving or hiding a layer does not guarantee the original subject disappears from that base.
